Agentforce Commerce B2C 26.9 Release Highlights
Salesforce has published the first release notes for Agentforce Commerce B2C 26.9, rolling out between August 18 and October 1, 2026.
The list is currently shorter than in previous releases, so additional notes may appear as the rollout progresses. For now, these are the main B2C Commerce updates.
Commerce Apps gets its own Business Manager workspace
Commerce Apps can now be discovered, installed, and managed from a dedicated workspace in Business Manager.
The new App Catalog brings native Salesforce apps, partner apps, and custom apps into the same area. It also provides access to featured apps, documentation, and setup progress.
For administrators, this gives Commerce Apps a much clearer entry point inside Business Manager instead of having app management spread across different areas.
Shopper consent synchronization with Data Cloud
B2C Commerce can now receive shopper notification preferences from Data Cloud through a consent sync flow.
If a shopper changes their email or text-message preferences, the flow can update the corresponding information in B2C Commerce automatically. This helps keep consent information aligned between both platforms and supports implementations where communication preferences are managed centrally.
Consent capture during SFRA checkout
There is also a related update for SFRA storefronts. Marketing consent can now be captured directly during checkout when the shopper places an order, without blocking the order-placement process.
This gives SFRA implementations another point in the customer journey where consent can be collected without requiring a separate interaction.
New Business Manager Utility Bar
Business Manager introduces a Utility Bar that keeps frequently used tools available while navigating the application.
From the bar, users can review alerts, access tools, preview the storefront, and manage their preferences. These options were previously available from the Business Manager header.
Multiple tax items per basket line item
One of the more technical changes in 26.9 is support for up to 10 individual tax items on a basket line item.
Each tax item has its own ID, value, and rate, making it possible to represent separate tax components such as federal, state, or district taxes while still maintaining the existing aggregated tax value.
The individual tax amounts are automatically included in the aggregated tax fields. Salesforce also makes an important distinction here: implementations should manage either the aggregated tax value or the individual tax items, rather than updating both independently.
Data residency advisory for Salesforce connections
When connecting a B2C Commerce instance to a Salesforce org, Business Manager can now display an advisory if the regions do not match or if the Salesforce org region cannot be determined.
The warning is intended to make the regional configuration visible before completing the connection, so teams can review any data residency or privacy implications of a cross-region setup.
In summary
Agentforce Commerce B2C 26.9 currently brings a small but varied set of improvements: better Commerce Apps management, more options around shopper consent, some Business Manager usability changes, more granular tax handling, and an additional safeguard when connecting B2C Commerce with Salesforce.
The release notes are still relatively limited, so it is worth keeping an eye on the official 26.9 page during the rollout period.
