SFCC Release Sessions with Coworkers
I would like to share the good experience in organizing detailed sessions of the different Product Releases that we have had this year within the Saleforce Team at work.
How have we managed to get this done?
Basically, we waited to get the official documentation from SF and spread all the new changes/announcements/fixes among our team of volunteers, then we would spread the news among the team so that each one could analyze in more detail what each one consisted of and also how it could influence the business of our clients. After a couple of coordination and doubt-solving sessions, we prepared our presentation for the rest of the co-workers in the practice.
From the beginning we were surprised by the good reception not only by co-workers but also by customers. We all benefited from expanding our knowledge about the product and the imminent changes that came in the next Release.
I encourage those of you who still don't do this as a normal part of your work, in one way or another, changes in new releases of a product are always taken into account, but sometimes it is good to reinforce it, normalize it, introducing these information sessions, it has really been good for all participants (sales, pre-sales, technicians, project managers, analysts... and of course the Client/Merchant).
Regarding the last session we had, dedicated to the 22.10 release of the Salesforce Commerce Cloud product, we introduced a final game/challenge that consists of answering questions and obtaining points on the different sections explained. This final "surprise" has been very well received and that is why we have decided to include different challenges from now on in all future sessions.
